LSAD is delighted to be in focus this month. Celebrating staff and student successes this Autumn comes at an exciting time as we prepare to celebrate our 175^th anniversary in 2027. Since 1852, when we were first a ‘School of Ornamental Art’ (covering drawing and life modelling), we have been at the ambitious forefront of Irish arts education, expanding our portfolio over the years to include the teaching of all manner of visual arts and design, arts education, and digital and creative media. Since becoming part of TUS, we’ve also expanded our regional reach with 6 campuses and building sites running throughout the Midlands and Midwest, from Limerick to Clonmel to Athlone. Our dedication to collaboration and interdisciplinary practice has helped us to become more than the sum of our parts, and the international reach of our alumni can be seen around the world. We’re especially keen to continue to grow our creative communities and over the coming year will be rolling out a variety of opportunities for our alumni to keep in touch, whether by attending our newly launched LSAD Research Institute Seminar Series or through our upcoming competitions for alumni commissions and residencies. To make sure you stay up to date with the latest LSAD news please register to our alumni association.
